I have that technology is very important in the classroom. There are a lot of advantages of bringing in technology. First of all, most students that I know learn visually. Not all students are the same. There different types of learning; some students learn visually, hands-on and auditory. The teachers must use different ways to teach. They should also give the students different options as for taking in information, and use their own ways to come up with answers. I feel like the use of technology is important because some teachers can just use the power point to show those visual students what the material is about. Many teachers can also assign homework through the internet.
Especially the science teachers; instead of giving the students assignments on cardboard, they can ask them to use the internet with parent permission to search and to be creative. The technology will help students to be more focus in the subjects and less distract by other things. As an education major, I will be using the technology to help my students. I will give them assignments to do online when they go home. This might be a way for me to keep them busy at home. I will also ask the parents for their email address. That way when I need to discuss something with one of the students’ parents, I could just send them an email.

Students will learn if they are grouping. I will assign group work for my kids. They will be required to go online to a website provided by me to search for whatever it is. It could be a project. The use of technology, especially the internet, is debated in learning. If a teacher wants to be advanced in his or her teaching style, he or she might consider using the technology. It may also be used to promote teachers or students. The technology helps the teacher to put class activities and process of each student. With this technology, teacher may also use it to send out weekly lecture to parents. If for instance a student misses a day of class, that student will know what was covered. That was I have learned about the use of technology in classroom.

Reflection 10

In this past six week, I have learned a lot in this class about the use of technology in the process of instructional delivery. First of all, I used to think that technology in school was not really needed until I took that class. I did the research on technology in classroom. The behaviorist and constructivist are not similar when it comes to approaches however they have the same objectives in common. The constructivism theory is consisted of six other styles of strategies; in contrast, the behaviorism theory made up of eight different ways of teaching. Collaborative learning is somewhat a way to tell information and receive knowledge as a team to express you or seek for better information.
The constructivist however is different in ways. It also helps the teachers plan their ways of teaching. It combines with the technology. This is where the teacher will use a power point presentation to demonstrate her topic of the subject for the day. Some teachers will assign students with an email address and that way they will be able to get in contact with them. Students will be more involved if technology is used in the classroom. There is a variety of activities for a teacher to assign their students with for all grade levels. Since I will be teaching third or fourth grader, I will be using more presentations, graphs, essays, journals, even ask them to create their own activities.
Everyone learns different. That is why they have different styles of teaching. A student that learns best by seeing, will be assign to do a project of what the have learn in the class by showing their classmates, pictures, graphics, etc… students who best learn by hearing, will have to show us a video on what they also learn and those that do learn by touching, will have to create a power point presentation for the class. It will be appropriate to just focus on one student on a class of one or more. Teacher should give each of them his or her own individual attention. Back to the use of computers in the classroom; the students will have a better understanding of the subject that is being discussed. One should always ask question to enhance their knowledge.

A Digital story is when technology is involved. These days, people use technology for anything. There are different types of digital story. It could be a story that someone creates to make a power point. People used digital story to show what they will have accomplish. For example, a teacher uses a power point to show the students a project. Technology in education can make learning fun. When it come to technology, the students are curious; they want to know what is coming next. It motivates the student to learn in class. It depends on the class; they can even use it for reflection time or deep learning. Technology is so common these days that it is important for a teacher to know its use.
Not only a digital story but also a video can be used in a classroom as a teaching tool for the students. There are a variety of website recourses that help students with information about any subject such as mathematics, English, science, history and the arts. Some of the students are visual and auditory learners, so it will be a good choice for them. The teacher may also use these video as a group or individual project. Most stories focus on a specific subject and contain a main detail. But some digital stories contain music, pictures, text audio etc… Digital story should last not no more than two an eight minutes. Most of the time, the story telling are from personal source and a few details are just from the community. For a student to succeed in telling stories, he or she must be practice a lot, meaning watch lots of videos.
In my EME 2040 class, one of my assignments is to create a digital story on why technology is very important in the classroom. Before I even start with my own digital story, I have to watch other peers’ digital video; in that way it will help me my own story. Digital Story is so easy that even two years old can create one. All the person need is the audio, the text, the music if applicable, the topic of my story and the main point of view. My digital story will be in class for about three to five minutes long. To me that is the definition of digital story.

Philosophy and philosophy of education are two different things. Philosophy of education is the purpose of a study. Meaning if a professor is teaching a project, that teacher must have a purpose for this subject. Just like education in school is separated in distinct categories, like math, science, reading, art, music, English etc… The philosophy of education is operated in five categories. Philosophy believes that it is best to identify the best and bring test like Aristotle, Plato, Shakespeare, etc… Hutching believes that a curriculum should and most consist of reading, writing, mathematics and literature and that these subjects should mastered before any other subject. . An education is information given to children. The educational must have open house. It must move forward not backward. Also it should have it on purpose.

We are not the society and the society is not us. In making this statement, due to the economic downfall, the school distinct budget is down and they have more students. The teachers will not be able to focus on a classroom of 30 or more students. Meaning a teacher might have a class of thirty students in it and a period of six different classes. So in total, this teacher will see one hundred and eighty students a day. Everyone has his or her own personality and that is one thing that makes every student unique. It will be foolish to focus on one particular student only on a class of thirty kids; because a teacher spends at least ninety minutes a day for approximately two or three days a week if they are in high school. How can a teacher know each individual in eight months?

Therefore, I believe that if all the students are being thought the basics of education which are reading, writing, and computer and also are taking physical education, it will enhance the student’s knowledge. Children that educated touched their own lives and others around them. Education gives the student a fundamental base for as long as he or she lives. A person without a good education will not be able to feed and clothe themselves and aloes their family. If someone is educated, it will benefit the society that person is living in; because the decision making will affect us. Today there are four basic educational philosophies. They are all different but have the same purpose. Therefore the teacher should be the one who organized his or her schooling.

Invariability, uncompassionate, unwise are all false adjectives to describe middle school students. It was once said “not to judge a book by its cover”, I believe that statement is more than correct. Middle school students seem to be exactly the opposite of what are minds think. Although middle school students does not show or demonstrate vulnerability, wisdom, deep authenticity and compulsion, if you catch them when they are not aware, you can see that inside them has something more than just organs and blood. Two classes from two different sides of the earth has shown and demonstrated vulnerability, wisdom, deep authenticity and compassion. A group of students from Israel and another group of students from Albert Canada was once working on a project. During the project the students explored the right to a safe place and I believe that it is more significant to explore the right to a safe place that exploring space itself.
The student discussed how safe their environment and classroom are. Because they were located on the opposite side of earth, they communicated through e-mail. Thirteen and fourteen year olds are mostly interested in sports, music and fashion. They shared their interest over the internet but are seemed as if none of their interest included the frequent terrorism attacks in Israel. Even though the exchange of messages through email didn’t express or give any expression on how they viewed the situation in Israel, their reflection written was more than reflection writing, more than a poetry but created a portrait on how unsafe Israel is. Through their Pivotal and touching words, the Israeli students expressed how they had fear going to the street, going to the movie. The movies theater is protected by guards or not being free to ride on buses or take trips.
The Israeli students expressed such things really affected the Canadian students because although the two classes were on the two different sides of the earth, they were all the same age group and cared about their peers. The students showed compassion when they were watching a CNN photo essay on the recent terrorism in Israel. Maybe if we really took our time to read middle school students a book, we will see that they are fascinating people. These two different groups of students learned about each other’s environment, and showed how much they cared on such situation that did not include then and now passionate they were though their words. I guess middle school students are fascinating books to read after all.

Frederico Garcia Lorca

This poem is about how Frederico suffered when his dad passed away. It is still with him the sorrow. Wherever his dad used to be, if he goes there, he will feel the spirit. "I learned from u. u taught me of the wildness of grief, so out of control, so hysterical, without promise of
consolation or moving on. u took me to a cruel & ugly place devoid of grief softening imagery." Frederico has been through a lot. When you lost a love one, it like you have lost everything. When stated "i cried for all of the lovers i would lose & i cried for u, garcia lorca, like the ants who cried when the king died, beaten to death by Franco falangists, truly a victim of rough trade, truly a hero for the way u lived yr life & the courage u displayed at the moment of yr death." I have been through that experience twice in my life where I have lost my grandmother a week before my wedding day and my stepfather due to the tragedy in Haiti. It was very hard for me to deal with my grandmother death because she had a part of my wedding. She passed away the Saturday before the wedding. And as for my stepfather, I couldn't accept his death just because. His was the hardest because he wasn't sick. He went to visit his other family members in Haiti and he didn't make it back.

Team work is work performed by a group of people who come and work together. The quantity of team work may be measured by analyzing the effectiveness of the collaborative and cooperative learning in the following ways: communication, collaboration, balance of contributions and effort. Decreasing the quantity of students in a better way, which can give them the opportunity to share their strengths and recognize their weaker skills. The characteristics, those are required in a cooperative learning environment are safety and team work but it also needed to be seized to a smaller size.

Collaborative learning is a way to reveal information and gain knowledge as a team to explore a pivoted question or dig into a deeper source of information. Cooperative is basically the same thing as collaborative learning but s branch that gives the students the needs to work together but think differently. Because they are all a different piece of the puzzle, they are account able for their own worth. Both cooperative and collaborative learning are a good way of learning because it gives students the opportunity to increase their knowledge life skills, and to help them to think as an individual and to combine knowledge as a whole.

Suppose a group of students were discussing Romeo and Juliet, the students would share their insights and their points of view on the story. That would be a good example of collaborative learning because the students are working as a whole but thinking as one. Although each student thinks differently, together they have one purpose. The muscles of the heart beat at their own rhythms but beat at once. New Maranatha Evangelical Baptist Church and Philadelphia Baptist Church are also an example of collaborative learning. The members at New Maranatha Evangelical Baptist Church and Philadelphia Baptist Church get together as one to learn about God (the Bible) and to teach others about the words of God.
Whenever New Maranatha Evangelical has a conference, Philadelphia Church closes his church to collaborate with them. And Maranatha does the same for Philadelphia Church. This is mostly like a project. The members of both churches invite friends and family to the conference. At the conference, the people will take notes and later on ask questions. The learners will learn by participating. The pastors become learners at time, and the learners become leaders.

Remembering Fred Anderson

Remembering Fred Anderson, in this short poem, it stated that the band started in the year 1960 at the fifth jacks club in the town Fred made his home. Fred was born in the year of 1929 and died in 2010. He used to play his free jazz in the people heads. He made them love him with their hearts. He knew the canny prophet in his own home town. When ever he played, he closed his eyes so that he could feel the songs.

The constructivist lesson plan is created to help the teacher plan the process of student learning. In that plan, the teacher will find a way for the students to discuss their work. In this part, the teacher will select a title and explain the process of problems solving. The teachers will create guidelines for each group. The teacher will describe the process; by asking the first student to say 1, the second to say 2, and so on so forth. There is another way to determine students’ prior knowledge. And then the teacher will build a relationship between what they already know and what the teacher will teach them.
For example if you are teaching someone something, you have to find out about their prior knowledge “meaning what they already know”. After the teacher group the students, they should leave a spot for them to ask questions. At my church, for example; I divided the youth into two groups. The first group, I gave them an orange folder with multiple choice questions and athe other group, I also gave them an orange folder with fill in the blank questions. They were asked to do have a group discussion. When they were done answering the questions, they explained it among themselves in a way for others to understand. Group A came up with a description on a cardboard and gave a verbal presentation. And group B played their impressions. Then the teacher will give them a feedback about the topic.
When a toddler is given a word and is presented a picture, the toddler learns that the word is the picture. So when the youth was presented into their multiple choices or fill in the blank questions, the words written inside the orange folder presented a picture in the mind of the youth. They had an opportunity to focus on the question that was giving to them. That is an example of cooperative learning. The student thinks and feels the topic based on life experience and individual knowledge. The students learned many academic things while answering the questions but alone thing is that everybody learned is that thinking as individual and answering as a whole is a way to success. The teacher will continue to give them assistance as long as it takes.

Reflection 2 Redo
A Teaching Act The behaviorist and constructivist have different approaches however they have the same objectives. The constructivism theory is made of six steps of strategies; in contrast, the behaviorism theory enlisted eight different ways of teaching. Here are a few steps: the purpose of a lesson plan; teacher should have an objective about the plan. For example why you choose this particular plan and why the students have to learn it. Guided Practice of the lesson plan; the teacher will illustrate an example for the students to see if they understand. The teacher will ask them questions to check on their weakness. Also the teacher will assign them with an assignment like a practice test. This lesson plan, we learn it. It is when someone creates a plan and we have to follow the steps on that plan. It will take a lot of practice to use but you will get use to it. It doesn’t happen overnight, you must practice. It is a better choice if you want to become a professional teacher. Lesson Plan is also in keeping with a central theme of the objectives that you should learn to create lessons in more than one way. If you practice the behavioral lesson plan, it will help you better with the students.
As for the constructivist lesson plan; the teacher will use grouping activities. Students will be in group of 2 or more. Determine on the material the teachers ‘using, the students will be able to explain the situation. There is also an element called the bridge. It is there to help the teacher better understand the students’ prior knowledge. As an education major, I will be using all of the elements with my students. Constructivist learning is what you know. An independence practice, the students will select an activity to work on, that activity could be from a story. For the student to work better, the teacher will give them instruction as simple as how to draw a cat. The students will create their own drawing. The student will be able to describe an environment.
They have the same purpose to better help the students and they have different way of demonstrate either by group activities or individual. Behaviorist lesson plan teaches new way and constructivist lesson plan what you already know.

An inquiry-based learning means several things. My son is so curios, he wants to know everything you are doing. He is always looking for information on things. My husband seeks for the truth; for example if our children’s teacher come to us and tell us that our son or daughter behaves bad at school today or did something’s wrong; he will make sure that he get the fact because some teachers lie on students. Elijah will ask you questions until he gets an answer. I was told that my son will keep that process of inquiry the end of the world. Whatever I’m doing either cooking, cleaning the house, studying for tests, doing the laundry, doing grocery shopping, he is always asking questions. My daughter Zahra now eleven months old, start observing familiar faces that gets near her. If she does not recognize the face, she will cry. She always putting things in her mouth whatever she finds on her way.

However, in this society our school boards system has found way that discourages the process of inquiry. Students are less involved in school. They don’t ask questions anymore and when they do, it is non sense question. Children today seems to believe they can purchase their knowledge; therefore, the seems not to care anymore. In some schools, students are asked to listen and take notes and ask less possible questions. The discouragement comes from our parents who don’t believe that the natural process starts from the day that the child is born. Concept to classroom stated “Educators must understand that schools need to go beyond data and information accumulation and move toward the generation of useful and applicable knowledge “In the past, our country's development depended on our supply of natural resources. But today, it depends upon a smart workforce."

The discipline is very important with no meaning to itself. The knowledge of it changes and expands every day. Everyone will be able to develop the learning skills knowledge throughout their lives but not one can learn everything. We have to sometimes investigate to follow the knowledge. According to Youth Learn, “It may be that traditional education will start becoming more and more like inquiry-based learning over time. Why? Because an inquiry-based approach is more web-like in how students pursue knowledge, as opposed to the linear, vertical and compartmentalized structure of traditional education. As the web-like Internet increasingly permeates society and education, the traditional structures will have to adapt to the forms of the new media”.

black arthur blythe

This poem for black arthur blythe is about a black guy who was very talented. He experienced several rejections. He decided to play until he was heard. He understood that what comes into being is, at the same time, returning to nothing. Black arthur couldn't play like others. He has been playing for a long time then stoped. Then one day he decided to continued to play. Black was a very good artist from what stated. He was not free to play where ever he wants; to sublate the negation he must preserve in his playing useful portions of the past – the riffs, the runs, the licks & chops; He eventually continue playing until he was free to play.

Bio

My name is Angelyns Nacier Roseau. I was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I came to the United States of America with my two brothers, my sister and my mother in August 16, 1997. I still have family members in Haiti. I am the fourth child. When I first came to the United States, I went to Horace Mann Middle to complete grade eight. Then I went to Miami Edison Senior High School. I graduated in June 2001 among the top five out of 600 hundreds students with a GPA of 3.9. I received a four years scholarship to University of Central Florida; however, I did not attend school over there. After completed high school, I was confused about what profession to go into. Until the year of 2007, I finally found a desire to teach, and then I decided to continue with my education. I am now attending Miami Dade College. Being consistent in staying in school has been difficult for me. Over that time I’ve met my husband, got married and had my three beautiful children. I devoted my time to the Lord by being very active at my church. It is here that I found peace and my faith in the Lord.
I am outgoing, I love singing and I love dancing. I have used these talents to contribute to activities at my church. I love learning new things in whatever I do, whether it is cook or organizing new events. I love to learn new ways to express myself. I have organized a few parties within my family members including some of my church. I host baby showers, and weddings. With that I love to have variety. This is why I love to meet new people. I love sharing my life experience and hearing those of others. This is how I create new bond of friendships. It is very important to me because it helps me to release some of my stress and also to have fun. I enjoy laughing and playing jokes, this makes me close to my family and friends. They play a very important role in my life, I communicate with them on a daily basis. I especially like when we get together on special parties to share some company and show each other how much we care for one another

We cannot but chuse to hear

This poem is about oil spill. It amazed me how sometimes we are going beyond what to do and nothing is being done. When stated "must we wander in our guilt this earth to tell any & all who might listen that god glories life over greed, loves all things s/he has made?", to me it means that if you re didn't create it you can't fix it. We must face it this is the end of the world like it or not. This world has been through a lot just like we have been through a lot. Only the Creator of the Universe could make chances. Even if we try, it might work foe a while but itr won't last. Due this oil spill, lots of seafood company are losing money. The oil spill is not the only problem. We have been in hurricanes, earthquake and more. Lots of things have been lost and that includes lives.
